Frédéric Le Gall


Frédéric Le Gall was born in Casablanca and has lived in Morocco, France, Spain and the UK. He has travelled extensively including a few months spent based in Singapore. He attended the “Grandes Ecoles” in France where he earned his MSc in
aeronautical & systems engineering. He began his career working for Dassault Aviation and subsequently completed a Masters at EM-Lyon business school (France) and an MBA at Cranfield School of Management (UK).


After meeting Andrew Greening in 1993, Frédéric entered the cards and payments arena focusing on innovative ventures including, among others, Mondex and Simpay.

Frédéric is a member of the advisory board and management team of Brighterion and led the recent acquisition by MasterCard of a stake in the company. He participated in the development of the Simpay mobile payment initiative and was a part of the early
team that made Mondex International a globally recognised e-money initiative backed by tier one global banks and MasterCard.

Frédéric is fluent in English, French and Spanish and has dual French-Spanish nationality. Outside of work he enjoys playing tennis and squash and can occasionally be found walking or skiing in the Pyrenees. Frédéric is a keen supporter of the Biarritz rugby team and enjoys travelling.
