His burning interest outside of business is Independent Education. He has been closely involved in his former school King Edward’s Bath for the last 20 years. During this time he has been Chairman of OE’s, a Governor since 2000 and Chairman of Governors since 2005, which at 39 made him the youngest Chair in HMC. His passion for the school and quest for excellence in a rounded education for years 3-18 has helped to transform the leadership team, bringing in new practices and Board members to support a challenging future for Independent co-education.

Andrew’s passion and recognition of schools’ need for the very best leaders across a range of management functions has led to his establishing a specialist practice of forward thinking experts to focus on Education. Greenings International will bring innovation and fresh thinking to traditional processes, respecting the ethos and values of schools. It will, at the same time, equip them with the talents necessary to remain competitive in Day and Boarding markets.

Andrew enjoys outdoor activities including sailing, where he also works with marine charities and youth organisations, and skiing in Canada. He lives in Bath with his wife and daughter.
